About The Founder

I am Gaz, a British Army veteran with a love of cigars and cigar culture. My aim is to bring the greatest premium and luxury cigars to veteran and serving members of H.M armed forces, as well as the wider community of cigar collectors and enthusiasts.

Let me tell you a little of who I am.

I am a veteran of the British Army, serving with 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards (The Welsh Cavalry) from September 2002, until December 2012.

It was during my first tour of Iraq, where I began my journey into the world of cigars, in 2004, though it would be in 2018, that I would really begin learning more about the cigar industry.

In March of 2025, I received a comment via Instagram, suggesting that there may be a market for a brand/line of cigars, that revolves around Britain’s H.M Armed Forces. The idea stuck, and The Sabre & Saddle Cigar Co. Ltd began to take form, and I began the requisite research to found a premium/luxury cigar brand

I am married, with two teenage daughters, and spends his time between Pembrokeshire in South Wales and Bistrița, Romania. I enjoy shooting, cigars, and viewing international rugby union as an avid supporter of Wales, among other hobbies.
